ROB’S OUT. HONESTY’S IN. Tune into Honest Gabe Unless You’re Still Crying About It - Bob Kern

A Message from Bob Kern, CEO of Hoosier Enquirer

Folks, let’s cut the nonsense. Rob Kendall is no longer with WIBC. Effective immediately, he’s out the door, keycard deactivated, email bounced, and microphone handed off. Some of you are shocked. Some of you are cheering. A few of you are probably refreshing his old clips and wiping away a single tear while whispering “he was just misunderstood.” To that last group I say it plainly: Rob’s out. Honesty’s in.

Tune into Honest Gabe unless you’re still crying about it. We didn’t make this move because we wanted drama. Hoosier Enquirer stands for: raw, unfiltered truth about Indiana politics, culture, and the people who actually live here—not just the ones who pose for selfies at the Statehouse. Honest Gabe doesn’t do choreography. He doesn’t run scripts past three layers of approval. He calls it like he sees it, and if that bruises somebody’s feelings or upsets a well-funded apple cart, so be it. That’s the point. Starting tomorrow, Gabe takes the reins. Same time slot, same channel, same unapologetic attitude—only now the filter is permanently switched to “off.” What you’ll get:

  • Straight talk, no hedging

  • No pretending both sides are equally virtuous when they’re clearly not

  • Zero tolerance for the same tired establishment talking points we’ve all heard a thousand times

  • Actual Indiana-first coverage instead of national cable-news cosplay

If you’ve been with us because you want real conversation instead of performance art, this is your upgrade. If you’ve been with WIBC because you liked the old smoother, safer version of the show… well, the exit’s in the upper right corner of your screen. No hard feelings. But for everyone else—the ones who are tired of being lied to, gaslit, or politely ignored—grab a drink, turn up the volume, and settle in. Honest Gabe starts tomorrow night. Rob’s out. Honesty’s in. See you at showtime.
