Kokomo woman arrested after California child-sex investigation

KOKOMO — A 45-year-old Kokomo woman is in custody after local police helped execute an arrest warrant that grew out of a child sex-crimes investigation in California.

Kokomo Police Department investigators said the department’s criminal investigation section was contacted by the Sunnyvale Police Department earlier this month. That inquiry led to a warrant for Stacy Coffman on charges of sending harmful matter to seduce a minor, contacting a minor to commit a felony, and possession of child pornography.20

Officers located Coffman on Thursday morning and took her into custody. As part of the same operation, police searched a home in the 500 block of East Sycamore Street.
