HE calls for Resignation of Loretta Rush, Failed DEI Chief Justice of Indiana Supreme Court

Too Old? Too Many Issues for So Many Years! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH CJ RUSH--Find the exit door in 2026.
Too Old? Too Many Issues for So Many Years! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH CJ RUSH--Find the exit door in 2026.

In the wake of the January 2026 shooting of Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, the Indiana Courts site published materials about a security webinar hosted by Chief Justice Rush. (Government of India)Separate reporting (The Indiana Lawyer) also described the security webinar and the chief justice urging judges to stay vigilant. (The Indiana Lawyer). She only reactive for a show.

“I worry about the safety of all our judges,” Rush wrote in a letter to Indiana judges, emphasizing that they must not only feel safe, but be safe. She is largely the reason the courts in Indiana are no long respected and the judges are all at risk. The buck stops with her.

Furthermore, the Center for Public Integrity has criticized Indiana’s judicial financial disclosure regime. (Center for Public Integrity) The Indiana Lawyer has also reported that in Indiana, disclosure forms are requested through an online portal (rather than being broadly posted online), and discussed efforts to improve accessibility. (The Indiana Lawyer). She has failed to lead.

Indiana Deserves Better:

Chief Justice Loretta Rush Should Resign

After years of what many Hoosiers view as gaslighting—directed at citizens and legislators alike in annual State of the Judiciary addresses—and after years of failing to administer justice in a way that engenders public confidence in fair and competent courts statewide,

Chief Justice Loretta Rush’s leadership has become indefensible and she has done the unthinkable with impunity, so far. But remember Indiana has no real FBI presence (remember the US gymnastics case ignored), and the federal district courts in Indiana are unwilling to exercise their authority.

During her tenure, Indiana has seen judges shot in their homes and, in other incidents, attacked outside public venues. Enough is enough. (https://www.wdbj7.com)

Her resignation as Indiana’s DEI Chief Justice is long overdue.

The Public Has Questions—and They’re Reasonable

Some have asked whether Chief Justice Rush has ever undergone any competency evaluation. I’m not aware of any public record of such results, and private medical information is not something the public is entitled to. But the broader point remains: Indiana’s judiciary must be led with transparency, accountability, and competence.

Ethics and Disclosure Concerns

Rush’s tenure has also included ethics and disclosure controversies that critics say reflect a deeper lack of transparency. Indiana’s judicial financial disclosure system has been widely criticized for being weak and difficult for the public to access. (Center for Public Integrity)

Hoosier Enquirer has reported allegations involving outside income and disclosure issues. If these allegations are true, they deserve full public examination—not suppression, delay, or institutional protection.

National Embarrassment and the Need for Accountability

Indiana cannot continue to be embarrassed on the national stage. When higher courts review Indiana outcomes, Hoosiers are left wondering whether rulings are rooted in neutral principles—or in self-serving institutional preservation.

It is also time for the legislature and taxpayers to stop subsidizing the trappings of a failed tenure. If the Court wants premium overhead, it should be paid out of the Court’s own budget—not quietly shifted onto the public.

The Final Straws:

Judicial Security: Even Rush Now Warns the System Is at Risk

In January 2026, after the shooting of Tippecanoe County Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, Chief Justice Rush hosted a statewide judicial security webinar and issued warnings urging judges to remain vigilant about safety. (Government of India)

“I worry about the safety of all our judges,” she wrote in a letter to the state’s judges, urging heightened awareness and security precautions. (The Indiana Lawyer)

That’s an extraordinary admission—because it underscores the degree to which this judiciary, under her leadership, has failed to maintain public confidence and civic stability.

Hamilton County and the Aaron Johnson Appointment Controversy

And on top of it all, Hoosier Enquirer reporting has raised serious concerns about how Chief Justice Rush and the broader system have responded to Hamilton County citizens objecting to placing failed ethics prosecutor Aaron Johnson on the bench.

The Indiana General Assembly, the governor, and—most importantly—the citizens have every right to demand answers when judicial leadership repeatedly appears insulated from consequences.

Conclusion: Resign, Instanter

Chief Justice Loretta Rush should resign instanter. Her tenure has failed this state—period.

Indiana deserves a judiciary that is transparent, competent, and accountable to the people—not one protected by status, secrecy, and institutional arrogance.

The Voters of Hamilton County now know what a criminal fraud CJ Loretta Rush has been. All Hoosier have seen clearly what a winning coach can do, CJ Rush is not a winning coach!
