AG Bondi Distances DOJ from ABA; TV’s Julie and Todd Chrisley Receive Presidential Pardon After Years of Federal Court Abuse

President Trump issued pardons for Julie and Todd Chrisley, reality TV stars, earlier this week. The couple returned to their home in Music City after being released from prisons in Florida and Kentucky, respectively, on Wednesday. Todd addressed the press at a conference, where their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, first thanked the President, Alice Johnson, and the Office of the Pardons staff for undoing “the attack” and false narrative spread by the media in her parents’ case.

The pardons, granted roughly two and a half years after the couple began serving their sentences, lend credence to the couple's claims of wrongful conviction. Todd emphasized that the justice system is "not just," asserting that many defendants are denied rights afforded them by the Constitution.

In response to one reporter, he explained his surprise that more don't understand the duress defendants, including his wife, face when pressured by investigators to sign false documents. Todd expressed his surprise that the reporter seemed unaware that the government uses threats of extended jail time to coerce confessions. Cooperation is demanded in a way that is not right. He highlighted that prosecutorial misconduct persists unchecked. HE understands these unconstitutional practices are exacerbated by the 11th Amendment immunity granted to judges and prosecutors, which fosters corruption.

Again, the news of the day, confirm that in the US legal system reform is long overdue to address the targeting of individuals in criminal and also their lawyers in legal ethics cases, an issue unaddressed by the American Bar Association (ABA) and state supreme courts, like the SCOIN under embattled Indiana Chief Justice Loretta Rush. In a separate development this week, United States Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote to ABA President William Bay, stating, “Unfortunately, the ABA no longer functions as a fair arbiter of nominees’ qualifications, and its ratings invariably and demonstrably favor nominees put forth by Democratic administrations.” HE further suggests that Bay seek to revise the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, adopt private mediation for legal ethics complaints, and reform law school accreditation to eliminate the-hate-conservatives agenda and anti-American bias in current legal curricula. Such biases, it is implied by the news, have led to indoctrination and a culture of less competent lawyers who prioritize prosecutorial wins and condone targeting political opponents. Long criticized, the ABA is as a lobbying powerhouse akin to Big Pharma or the National Rifle Association (NRA), wielding excessive state and DC lobbying power, having written many model statutes and rules regulating judges and lawyers. The ABA even audits state procedures used to terminate targeted lawyers (some being unethical, and most just being too outspoken). The taking of law licenses without sufficient accountability must end in America along with fake criminal prosecutions or excessive punishments for the non-violent. HE notes that the principle of responsibility accompanying power, though taught in law schools, is largely ignored by legal authorities in power today.

Bondi further stated, “Accordingly, while the ABA is free to comment on judicial nominations along with other activist organizations, there is no justification for treating the ABA differently from such groups, and the Department of Justice will not do so.

Specifically, the Office of Legal Policy will no longer direct nominees to provide waivers allowing the ABA access to non-public information, including bar records. Nominees will also not respond to questionnaires prepared by the ABA or sit for ABA interviews.” The ABA has been reduced to a role of any public citizens, or in other words the voice of the people will matter as much as the that of ABA insiders.

The ABA was not elected by anyone, and has no ligitimate role in public policy per se. Another words, the connected and feckless political hacks need not apply to become judges in the future.

HE also expresses the view that Ballotpedia.com, another organization perceived as biased, should be disregarded by voters when seeking honest, qualified candidates for public office, judgeships, and other elected positions of authority. "R E F O R M" seems to be needed more than ever in our legal system, and it is up to local bars, and state bar associations to save the reputation of their failing profession, failing courts, judges, selectively enforced laws, and fix the entire legal system plagued by lawfare, bias, the legal industry organizations, heavy handed prosecutions, and justice for some, and court abuse for others. Or as the title of one upcoming new book reads: "No Justice for ALL"
