Elise Hensley’s Disturbing Pattern of Hate Unveiled: From Anti-LGBTQ Slurs to a Vile School Shooting Wish

March 19, 2025 – Indianapolis, IndianaBy Hoosier Enquirer Staff

Elise Hensley, recently dubbed the “MAGA Hat girl” after a viral confrontation at Indianapolis’ Chatterbox Bar, has found herself at the center of a growing controversy that exposes a troubling history of hostility toward the LGBTQ community. The Hoosier Enquirer has obtained exclusive video evidence revealing that Hensley once expressed a vile wish on her now-deleted Instagram account, hoping a transgender individual would commit a mass shooting at the Nashville Christian School in 2023. This revelation, paired with her recent ejection from the Chatterbox Bar for directing anti-LGBTQ slurs at staff, paints a damning picture of a calculated provocateur with a clear agenda.

The incident at Chatterbox Bar unfolded on Friday, March 14, when Hensley and a group of friends—some wearing “Make America Great Again” hats—entered the beloved jazz club on Mass Ave. According to multiple witnesses interviewed by the Hoosier Enquirer, Hensley quickly engaged in disruptive behavior, hurling homophobic slurs at the bar’s gay bartenders. The establishment, known for its inclusive atmosphere and proudly displaying a pride flag outside, swiftly asked her to leave. Hensley complied initially but soon returned, phone in hand, to record a confrontation with staff that she later posted to social media. In the video, a bartender is seen demanding she leave, citing her Trump support as the reason—a narrative Hensley eagerly amplified online.

That viral clip, which garnered sympathy from some conservative circles, portrayed Hensley as a victim of political discrimination. However, the Hoosier Enquirer’s investigation reveals a far uglier truth: her ejection stemmed not from her attire, but from her aggressive and hateful actions toward the bar’s staff. The bar’s management later issued a statement on Instagram, asserting that Hensley and her group “intentionally misgendered and harassed” an employee, continuing to verbally assault patrons and staff even after being asked to leave. Far from an innocent patron, Hensley’s behavior aligns with a broader pattern of antagonism toward the LGBTQ community—one that her now-unearthed Instagram video makes undeniable.

In the disturbing Instagram clip obtained by the Hoosier Enquirer, Hensley can be heard expressing a shocking desire for violence against a Nashville Christian School by a transgender person. The comment, made in 2023 before she scrubbed her account amid recent scrutiny, stands in stark contrast to her public claims of supporting the LGBTQ community. Following the Chatterbox incident, Hensley told outlets like WISH-TV and WIBC radio that she has “lots of gay friends” and “absolutely love[s] the LGBTQ community”—a defense that rings hollow in light of her documented vitriol.

Her appearance on WIBC’s “Hammer and Nigel Show” further muddied the waters. Initially canceled after questions arose about her motives, the interview was hastily reinstated on March 17 following listener backlash. During the segment, hosts propped her up as a martyr for free expression, glossing over the allegations of slurs and her admitted disruptive behavior. Hensley herself conceded on air that the bar “probably ha[d] every right to kick me out,” a rare moment of candor that undermined her victim narrative. Yet, the hosts continued to frame her as a hero, ignoring the mounting evidence of her true intentions.

That evidence points to a deliberate stunt. Sources close to the Chatterbox incident, including owner David Andrichik, have suggested Hensley targeted the bar—likely drawn by its visible pride flag—to provoke a reaction she could exploit for clout. Her history as a self-styled brand ambassador, reliant on social media attention, supports this theory. The viral video, carefully edited to omit her initial aggression, was a calculated bid to boost her online presence and business interests, not a spontaneous cry against injustice.

.

Hensley’s actions at Chatterbox and her past statements reveal a consistent thread of hate masked by a thin veneer of political allegiance. Her MAGA hat may have been the flashpoint, but it was her words—both in the bar and on Instagram—that exposed her character. As the Hoosier Enquirer continues to investigate, we urge readers to look beyond the sensational headlines and viral clips. The real story isn’t one of discrimination against a Trump supporter; it’s of a provocateur whose pattern of animosity toward the LGBTQ community can no longer be ignored.
