Charged with Multiple Counts including Federal Stalking Combined with Murder with Handgun Making Him Death Penalty Eligible; Yet, The Potential Punishments Were Listed Separately as "Life in Prison" at Presser.

Minneapolis -- Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson, in a press conference to announce charges, seemed to avoid many questions and exaggerated books and lists and said, "he could not get into the mind of a murderer," rather than answer questions about motive, stating the victims were all Democratic lawmakers, including the House Speaker who answered the call to serve. It is a tragic day when political assassinations replace the rule of law for justice.

Counts 1 and 2 for stalking and Counts 3 and 4, making the crazed shooter death penalty eligible on the federal level. State murder charges carry multiple life imprisonments.

His attack wasn’t random. He deliberately targeted moderate or bipartisan Democrats, especially those involved in recent legislative compromises on controversial issues like abortion, law enforcement funding, and social policy.

The gunman, who went to great lengths to impersonate a police officer, viewed this cooperation with Republicans as a betrayal of conservative principles—and, according to investigators, saw these Democrats as “traitors” to the moral cause he believed in.

This was a politically motivated act of domestic terrorism, driven by ideological extremism and hatred of compromise as well as something he called, "No Kings."

The press conference blurred his writings and refused to disclose his post-arrest admissions and comments. Based on some of his posts, he opposed compromise, according to investigators. The writings and manifestos, which the U.S. Attorney would not label as a "Unabomber-style manifesto," showed deep resentment toward Democrats who “enabled” Republican policies or who weren’t “radical enough” in their opposition. He believed moderate Democrats were as dangerous as progressive ones, especially on issues like abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, and gun control.

Many media outlets were quick to call him a Trump supporter based on the fact that he had been a registered Republican in Oklahoma 20 years ago, before listing himself as an independent and non-partisan. Democrats in Minnesota clearly trusted the shooter at one point, enough to give him official appointments and a public-facing role in state government.

Evidence of Trust:

  • Appointed by Democratic Governors:

  • Gov. Mark Dayton (D) appointed him to the Governor’s Workforce Development Council in 2016.

  • Gov. Tim Walz (D) reappointed him in 2019 to its successor, the Workforce Development Board.

These appointments have been misreported has having been done by governor of both parties. Again, HE presents the truth. Only the irrational can put politics above peace. It may be time in America to share the Bible with a few who need it, that is say, someone you know who is far too focused on political debate on either side of the aisle.

Political violence has no place in America. The hate is being fueled by so much insider trading, taxes and cost of living increases, all part of the incompetence of leaders and their abuse of power. As a trend violence seems have the stoking of flames of resistance and conflict creation, political targeting by the FBI and DOJ, as well as by too many Legal Ethics Prosecutors, lawfare, chilling the legal processes and access to real justice across the nation to destabilize the country.

The motive and mental illness, which was never even mentioned, should have been addressed at the press conference if the recent political murderer in Minnesota was insane, suffering mental illnesses, or in his deranged way, was seeking justice as he saw it. This is not normal, and honest understanding of such extremism must be understood to be stopped.

The fact that he was married raised many unanswered questions as well. Is she crazy or should she be arrested too now? If the latter is the truth, he wasn't sick, but was a political liberal attacking for his agenda or justice, that information will likely will not be provided to the public ever. It seems the facts are rarely given in these kind of awful cases, and today's presser was not transparent, and was very limited for some reason.
