CJ Loretta Rush should be Embarrassed - Part 1 of a 3-part Introduction Series

First of all, I am very glad that the HE Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief have invited me to submit articles, mostly sports reports, having a Hoosier's passionate for sports.

However, this is an opinion article and my introduction, commentary on the law, courts, our past VP, and the current state of affairs concerning the Supreme Court of Indiana (SCOIN) under the failed leadership of Loretta Rush, a DEI disgrace as a liar and overturned court by the SCOTUS.

I have been active Indiana public policy matters since I was a Senate Intern for Indiana Senator Dick Lugar while I was a college student at Georgetown University in the 1970s. I reported to his Admin. Assist. Mitch Daniels, who cheated in office poker games. That's a fact.

In the distant past, I wrote articles for another Indiana publication, and another former editor, Mike Pence, when he was the Editor of the Indiana Policy Review in the 1990s, before he was elected to Congress, Governor, and Vice President.

The only difference, in fact, is that Mike Pence put his own byline on my articles. I doubt he was smart enough to have written much himself. When I listened years later to his radio show, he seemed to parrot other conservative talk radio voices, especially the EIB Network. Here, as you can see clearly here on my initial article as an HE journalist with my byline "by Doug Bernacchi, MBA, JD" and endorsed.

I am listed truthfully, infra, as the author of this article. There are no plagiarists here! Not that Mike cares now or ever did.

It is no surprise to me that Mike Pence was dumped by President Trump in 2020. If Trump hadn’t tapped him as his VP in 2016, surely Pence would have lost his reelection as a sitting Governor of Indiana. Essentially, Trump saved Mike Pence and his political life once from himself, even if for just for a little while.

I saw Pence in 2022 speak before the Jeffersonian Society at the University of Virginia, where he wasn’t impressive, placated the students set to protest him, who were all threatened with expulsion if they acted up, and his talk was uninspired. While most in attendance were grateful for his speech, we learned little, if anything, at all.

in Elkhart, Indiana in 2016, when he porceeded to lie to my wife and me. This is only part of why I am bitter toward him. He, “the great overachiever” from Indiana, who failed many.

It wasn’t just his stealing my journalism as his own or that he lied to me, but it really wasn’t okay that he lied to my wife, too. Shame on him. Or maybe shame on me for believing any Indiana politician.

Gov. Pence told us that he would not let it happen. He would stop her. "I will stop it." We told him about the circumstances I was facing.

"Loretta Rush will not destroy you" in the pending fake legal ethics case that I was facing at the time. We believed him. My hoax case proceeded unchecked from months, and without due process, reason, or any evidence, I was target and the facts did not matter; Rush lied about me. I was told I would get a reprimand if I cooperated, and that too was big lie.

Governor Mike Pence, surprisingly to me, even asked me at the time, who I favored for him to appoint as the next—the 109th—Justice of the SCOIN, while he was choosing between a local judge who I knew named Steven Hostettler, a the St. Joseph Co. Superior Court Judge and the current SCOIN Justice Geoffrey G. Slaughter of Indianapolis. He appointed the latter.

I offered opinion on either option finding it innappropriate since I had a case pending, and just accepted Governor Pences assurances that whoever he chose would put a stop to my bizarre legal ethics case, the ongoing harassment, and the court abuse. Lawfare was not yet a term used. The Hon. Geoffrey G. Slaughter recused himself then from ruling on my case.

I never met him or spoke to any of the justices, save Hon. Mark Massa (second from left), a political hack whose own retirement from the State's high court justices is next. Justice Slaughter, (pictured on the far right), and I know not why, to this day, he allowed me to be canceled from my long, successful, and compassionate legal career of 27 years, or why he recused. He’s a coward, perhaps; he was told by Rush to stay out of it, or perhaps because Gov. Pence had actually acted to obstruct justice. But I also don't know who ghost wrote and filed the RFI.

I only wanted a hearing on the merits, which my high priced lawyers and I were denied by trickery, and I never dissuaded the court from hearing the testimony of a paralegal Mario Sims, a key witness and central figure used by the state wrongly to attack me.

Sims, a former ISP cell mate of Mike Tyson, had served a much longer sentence for crime he never did. Oddly, has his name is mentioned in my Sup. Ct. decision more than I am mentioned. Begging the question: why?

Mario Sims was never even allowed to testify in my case or give his deposition. That's how unfair it was, Judge Sheila Moss a black Democrat ruled no witness for me not even to rebut the state-sponsored perjury. She comment in court that Mr. Sims was white, she was clueless and had her marching orders as someone herself illegally employed in 2 lucrative state jobs.

My case is a travesty of justice -- a fraud, just like Sim's earlier conviction when he ran for Mayor of South Bend as a Black Republican. I ran for Judge in that county only to be "investigated," and railroaded by a corrupt Loretta Rush and G. Micheal Witte. No investigation occured, none. It was rigged justice at is worst. And that's a fact.

When I filed a criminal complaint for perjury and showed the Lake County Sheriff and Lake County Prosecutor the irrefutable evidence of the perjury used by Indiana Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Attorney Aaron Johnson (under the supervision of Director Witte), who had a history of suborning perjury, the Executive Director, G. Michael Witte, obstructed justice and tilted rainbows. He was clearly a racist himself as well based on his record.

Rush later made Witte a senior judge with immunity from prosecution, and the Lake County Prosecutor got a paid position on the Commission. If this is not actual evidence of a corrupt state avoiding justice and publishing completely fake legal opinions that no one should ever respect, then nothing is.

"But these are not the only reasons

why CJ Rush should resign in embarrassment and disgrace. Her "team" is a cabal. You either agree to join her team or you perish like I did."

Indiana Governor Michael "Mike" Braun is powerless over Indiana CJ Loretta Rush, the Commission, and her crooked courts and Indiana's bogus legal ethics tribunals (most of which are in violation of the Constitution by giving a hearing officer a second lucrative position expressly proscribed).

"In reality, Governor Braun will be just like Governor Pence, ineffective AF."

He, just like all the lawyer members of the Indiana General Assembly, fears Rush and her corrupt courts, and “the Commission”—that is, the Indiana Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Commission, previously perverted by G. Michael Witte, “Indiana’s corrupt Jim Comey,” into a lawfare agency. Witte himself deserves no state law license or any judgeship. Many complaints against him as a lawyer and as a judge have gone uninvestigated and unprosecuted for many years, causing his agency to be viewed by some as a protection racket for some well-connected lawyers and powerful, line-towing judges.

The Commission makes it a habit of showing the State Attorney General who runs the legal system and who is the law in Indiana, and it’s not AG Todd Rokita or AG Curtis Hill. The Commission—as most Hoosiers do not realize—is the one branch of state government with “exclusive” power to license and regulate attorneys, and as such, it has become the most unethical operation in the history of the state, ironically enforcing ethics in theory.

Former Director G. Michael Witte, the self-proclaimed “first Asian,” was another Indiana DEI disgrace. Rush, herself DEI< stood by him and has now acted to shield him from justice.

In July, Inbar.org will hold a “Celebration of Diversity in Bar,” coinciding and pandering while engaging in propaganda to further yet another false narrative in conjunction with Black Expo Events in Indianapolis. Sadly, it is all too predictable and gag-worthy. Rush must go! Right?

This article is about Chief Justice Loretta Rush of the Indiana Supreme Court, who is still today the most powerful politician in the State of Indiana. Mike Braun is not running Indiana; she is, and she has been, or perhaps more accurately: Those who are pulling Loretta Rush’s strings are in charge. The state is a den of corruption where, if they don’t have dirt on you, they won’t let you run for judge, win, or hold office. They have dirt on everyone, and if not, they will cancel you and lie.

Pence and Rush are part of the problem. Pence's lies and plagiarism are evidence that he’d not hesitate to obstruct justice or that he was ineffective as a leader. I can still see him standing there like a know-nothing sergeant during COVID press conferences; he had nothing on VP Harris. Both were vapid VP vessels of self-promotion, from who original thoughts were nonexistent. Stay tuned to for the Rush lies exposed in a future article.

So as for Indiana Supreme Chief Justice Rush, other than knowing that she will be judged harshly on judgment day by her maker, having read in HE about her cash-for-kids-style scandal, I know Rush is weak, not strong, controlled, and she is no good.
