Indianapolis residents frustrated with rising utility bills will have a chance to get answers directly from AES Indiana at an upcoming event designed to foster open dialogue and provide practical solutions. The utility company is holding a series of drop-in sessions at the Julia M. Carson Transit Center, located at 210 E. Washington St., to help customers navigate their concerns face-to-face with representatives.

The events are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, April 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

No registration is required, ensuring easy access for any AES Indiana customer looking to attend. The open format reflects the company’s commitment to making support as convenient as possible for the community.

Mallory Duncan, AES Indiana’s Director of Communications, emphasized the value of in-person conversations for resolving billing confusion. “Sometimes it’s easier to go through your bill and look at what you’re confused about, what you need help with, when you’re staring at someone and actually talking to them,” Duncan said.

At the event, customers will have the opportunity to discuss their bills with AES representatives, explore payment plan options, and learn about energy efficiency strategies that could help lower future costs. The initiative comes as many households grapple with higher-than-expected utility expenses, a concern AES Indiana hopes to address through direct engagement and tailored solutions.

The Julia M. Carson Transit Center’s central location makes it an accessible venue for residents across Indianapolis. AES Indiana encourages anyone with questions or concerns about their utility bills to stop by during one of the scheduled sessions.

This event underscores AES Indiana’s effort to build trust and provide clarity at a time when utility costs are top of mind for many in the community. Whether it’s setting up a manageable payment plan or picking up tips to reduce energy use, attendees can expect practical support to help ease the burden of high bills.
