WOKE OVER WORKERS: Indiana Governor Braun Prioritizes Woke Criminals with Guns While NIPSCO Linemen Dodge Gunfire in Gary

“GET THE POWER BACK ON? FIRST GET THE GUNS OUT OF VIOLENT CRIMINALS HANDS!”

Leaders Demand Braun Restore Law and Order Before Another Hero Dies

Northwest Indiana is still in the dark — and Governor Mike Braun just left our working-class heroes exposed to gunfire.

While thousands of Hoosier families sweat through another day without electricity after the August 11 storm, NIPSCO linemen trying to restore power in Gary were shot at like targets in a war zone. A marked utility vehicle was riddled with bullets. The crews paused work. No arrests. No accountability. And what did the Governor do? Mobilize the National Guard to clear brush… while the real problem — lawless streets and “woke” soft-on-crime politics — gets a free pass.

Sources close to the restoration effort say the message from Indianapolis has been loud and clear: don’t rock the boat in Gary. Don’t call out the culture of violence. Don’t demand the kind of iron-fisted law and order that would actually keep linemen safe. Instead, Braun goes to war with the utility company while the people shooting at the guys climbing the poles walk free.

“This is pure betrayal,” one furious Northwest Indiana official told the Hoosier Enquirer. “Our linemen are risking their lives every single day so people can turn their lights on. Braun is more worried about upsetting the agitators and the activists than protecting the working men who keep this state running. If Beckwith were in charge, Gary would be locked down until the last criminal was off the street.”

The August 14 shooting wasn’t some random “isolated incident.” It was a warning shot — literally — that Gary’s streets still belong to the same elements that have turned parts of the city into a no-go zone. Yet the Governor’s office keeps talking about “coordination with local law enforcement” and “clearing the way” instead of flooding the zone with state police and National Guard with actual teeth.

Political leaders and blue-collar voices across Indiana are now openly calling on Braun to stop the soft talk and restore law and order immediately.

“Stop caving,” one Republican county chairman said. “These men are not political props. They are someone’s husband, someone’s father. Every day Braun refuses to treat Gary like the high-crime crisis it is, he is gambling with their lives. 2028 is coming fast.”

NIPSCO crews have already restored power to hundreds of thousands. The remaining thousands — especially in Gary — are still waiting. The poles are down. The substations are wrecked. And the bullets are real.

Governor Braun has the National Guard. He has the State Police. He has the authority. What he doesn’t seem to have is the backbone to tell the woke crowd in Gary that shooting at the men who bring the lights back on will no longer be tolerated.

Hoosiers are watching. The linemen are still out there. And the next shot might not miss.

Time’s up, Governor. Protect the workers — or make way for someone who will.
