With Governor Braun's Support, Conservative Student Organizations Are Building a Statewide Network Ahead of November's Elections

As his legacy continues to build, the killing of a martyr is changing colleges everywhere.
As his legacy continues to build, the killing of a martyr is changing colleges everywhere.

Hoosier Enquirer | October 10, 2026

INDIANAPOLIS — Turning Point USA is building an increasingly visible presence across Indiana, with student organizations at major universities, private colleges and public high schools. Supported by Governor Mike Braun, Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith and the network of Hoosier Enquirer student readers, the conservative youth organization founded by Charlie Kirk, is positioning itself to become an enduring force in Hoosier civic life.

The conservative youth movement, founded by the late Charlie Kirk, has attracted renewed attention following his September 2025 assassination and then following the 1-year anniversary this past September. America 250 has also encourage pride in America at critical time when big money is going to support street protests in Blue Cities, and are trying to disrupt the success of President Donald J. Trump and his winning policies.

Many Trump and TP USA rally-goers absolute see this President as the hardest working, most forthright, sincerest, and most creative president in their lifetimes, if not ever. And they see the resistance and find them Anti-American and disturbing while the fake news media lies over and over, and seems to be crooked and untrustworthy.

The youth have always enthusiastically rallied around the flag in time of war or conflict and saving their future from the threat of Iranian nuclear weapons has been embraced by many and considered long overdue. The last generation of young people are starting to understand that their president, President Obama was not so good and even divided the country and continues to act as a Race-baiter in Chief. President Biden was a complete disaster and Kamala Harris was unelectable and insincere if not completely drunk on wine or the pursuit of power, with no clue and no plans. They are not DSA pinko commies and want a good life, not equality at their expense or ignoring their hard work in favor the lazy or illegal boarder crashers, who many say, "can't drive." They want boarders and criminal aliens purged from their neighborhoods, cities, and towns. Some even want to sanctuary city leaders jailed for treason. The people who chant "Death to America" in America need to be arrested for that is not free speech but violent hate speech.

Across the country, Turning Point USA reports expanding high school and college participation, while its political-action affiliate is organizing voters ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.

Indiana has emerged as a particularly important state for that expansion. The Braun administration has announced a partnership intended to help students establish Turning Point USA chapters at colleges and Club America chapters at high schools. The state also plans to work with Club America on voter registration and recruitment of student election workers.

The question now is how rapidly the organization can turn that statewide political support into functioning local chapters.

An Indiana Republican Party communication obtained from a public archive identifies 16 Turning Point chapter locations across the state, providing a useful starting point for understanding the organization's geographic reach.

The source is a September 2025 organizational list, not a verified October 2026 membership census. It identifies locations previously reported as registered chapters, but does not establish that every chapter remains active today.

Additional documented activity includes a Club America chapter at Westfield High School, a Turning Point chapter at Indiana University Bloomington and a countywide Club America organization in Steuben County.

These locations illustrate the organization's reach from Northwest and North Central Indiana to Indianapolis, Bloomington and the Evansville metropolitan area.

Steuben County Announces October 14 Club America Meeting

One of the clearest examples of continuing local organization comes from northeastern Indiana.

The Steuben County Republican Party is advertising a Club America meeting for Wednesday, October 14, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The meeting is described as the organization's first gathering of the school year and is open to high school students throughout Steuben County.

Organizers say a local government official will discuss her public responsibilities. The announcement also promises pizza and cupcakes.

The countywide approach is noteworthy because it potentially allows students from multiple schools to participate in one organization rather than requiring each school to establish a separate chapter.

The meeting represents an opportunity to examine whether Club America's expansion is occurring through individual school chapters, regional organizations or a combination of both.

Westfield Remains a Center of Student Activism

In Hamilton County, Westfield High School has emerged as a visible location for Turning Point USA's high school movement.

The school's Club America chapter received national attention following a confrontation involving student activists and a parent during an August school event.

Accounts of the encounter differed, with the student leader alleging harassment and the parent disputing important aspects of the allegations.

Beyond that controversy, the existence of an identifiable student chapter demonstrates that Turning Point's high school strategy is moving beyond statewide announcements.

Westfield's experience may also become an example for other Indiana school districts confronting questions about student political organizations, parental involvement and freedom of expression.

Indiana University Bloomington: An Established College Presence

Indiana University Bloomington remains one of Turning Point USA's most prominent Indiana locations.

The university's chapter has hosted major conservative speakers and participated in statewide discussions about student political engagement.

Chapter president Jared Stonecipher publicly supported the Braun administration's partnership earlier this year, describing Turning Point as an organization intended to encourage discussion and political participation.

The Bloomington chapter is particularly significant because IU is among Indiana's largest universities and plays an important role in developing future political, legal and business leaders.

The organization's continued presence provides an opportunity to measure whether conservative student groups are expanding their influence at universities traditionally associated with a broad range of political viewpoints.

Saint Mary's, Notre Dame and Other Private Colleges

Northern Indiana is another important region for Turning Point's growth.

Saint Mary's College approved a Turning Point USA chapter for the spring 2026 semester following a prolonged effort to obtain recognition.

The nearby University of Notre Dame also appeared on the Indiana Republican Party's September 2025 list of registered chapter locations.

Grace College, Trine University, Taylor University and DePauw University appeared on that same list, suggesting that Turning Point's organizational strategy extends well beyond Indiana's public universities.

Private colleges present a different institutional environment because their student-organization policies may reflect religious missions, institutional values and independent governance arrangements.

Whether those chapters remain active, how many students participate and what events they plan for the remainder of the academic year remain subjects for additional reporting.

Governor Braun's Statewide Partnership

The expansion received a significant boost when Governor Braun announced that Indiana would cooperate with Turning Point USA to encourage the establishment of student chapters.

Braun has emphasized freedom of speech, student participation and the importance of conservative principles.

Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith has likewise promoted the organization's message of American exceptionalism and civic responsibility.

The initiative does not require every school to establish a chapter. Rather, the administration has urged educational institutions to facilitate student efforts to organize.

Supporters consider the policy a response to perceived hostility toward conservative students.

Critics, including civil-liberties advocates, question whether government officials should formally promote a particular ideological organization instead of applying neutral policies to all student groups. HE finds such arguments standing the face of reality. Kids want a normal life, the end of DEI, and WOKE culture craving a society based on merit and truth, where love means love conservatives too, not just the freaks or drag queens.

Secretary of State Morales Looks Toward November

Secretary of State Diego Morales has announced a separate partnership with Club America focused on voter registration and participation in the electoral process.

The initiative is intended to help eligible high school students register to vote and encourage participation in Indiana's Hoosier Hall Pass program, which allows qualified students to serve as election workers.

The November 3 election provides an immediate test of the partnership's effectiveness.

The program could be evaluated by measuring how many eligible students register, how many participate as poll workers and whether student participation increases compared with previous election cycles.

Those figures have not yet been independently established.

Upcoming Events and Opportunities

As of October 10, the following future activities are documented or remain open for participation:

October 14 — Steuben County Club America Meeting. The countywide high school organization plans to meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The event is open to high school students throughout Steuben County.

October 20 — Turning Point USA National Campus Tour. Dartmouth College in New Hampshire is scheduled to host a stop on the organization's America: Love It or Leave It tour.

October 21 — Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. The national campus tour is scheduled to continue in California.

October 22 — University of Miami. Another tour stop is scheduled in Florida.

November 3 — Indiana General Election. The election provides the next major opportunity to assess youth voter registration and participation, including activities associated with Turning Point's voter-engagement initiatives.

December 2026 — AmericaFest. Turning Point USA is promoting its annual national gathering, although this report does not independently establish an Indiana-specific delegation or event.

No additional Indiana stop on the national campus tour has been confirmed in the currently published schedule.

The Next Question: How Many Indiana Chapters Are Actually Operating?

The statewide partnership creates an opportunity for a more comprehensive accounting of Turning Point's Indiana presence.

The Indiana Republican Party's historical list identifies 16 school locations, but it does not establish the current number of active chapters, their membership totals or the number of additional organizations established during 2026.

That distinction is important.

An organization can announce ambitious expansion plans without immediately establishing functioning chapters at every targeted institution.

The most useful measure of Turning Point's progress will be the number of chapters meeting regularly, the students participating and the activities those organizations undertake.

Indiana's public universities, private colleges and high schools provide a broad network through which the organization can pursue its educational and civic objectives.

For Turning Point USA, the immediate challenge is turning that potential into sustained participation.

For Indiana's elected officials, the challenge is ensuring that students can exercise their rights to organize and express political opinions while preserving equal treatment for organizations representing other viewpoints.

For Hoosier Enquirer, the developing story is the emergence of a statewide conservative student network whose long-term influence may extend well beyond the November election.

As Turning Point USA and Club America continue organizing across Indiana, their success will ultimately be measured not by announcements from Indianapolis, but by the students who participate in communities throughout the state. Join today! Win Tomorrow!
