Fever—8:00 PM Game Time. BUT....

 CC
CC

The Indiana Fever of the WNBA are preparing for their second matchup of the season against the Chicago Sky at 8pm Saturday/tonight, but they will once again be without standout guard Caitlin Clark, aka "CC." This marks the fourth straight game the Good Gals will play without her. Does that remind you of the pre-Clark WNBA? HE will report on the next game CC plays for Indianapolis.

Clark announced that she won’t be available for Saturday night's game at the United Center in Chicago—a contest that also impacts the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup standings.

She’s currently sidelined with a left quadriceps strain sustained during a May 24 loss to the New York Liberty. With an initial recovery timeline reported of "at least two weeks," her potential return could come as soon as Tuesday in Atlanta.

Since Clark’s injury, the Fever have posted a 1-2 record. After losing their first two games without her, Indiana bounced back on June 3 with an 85-76 victory over the Washington Mystics. In that game, Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 24 points, matching her highest scoring performance of the season.

The Indiana Fever team is still exciting, but these games do not seem to have the magic that Clark brings. HE wishes them luck tonight, since Chicago is a WNBA rivalry game.

In other BBall news, the Pacers will play Game 2 on Sunday 8:00 PM with broad national coverage (https://www.nba.com/pacers/news) and so, HE, per normal, won’t cover any early playoff games in a 7-game series. So, as to not jinx the Pacers, HE will wait to cover the decisive games. Although beating OKC Thunder at the buzzer in Game 1 may well turn out to be the decisive game in the 2025 NBA Finals—fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for the home teams, also known to HE as "the Good Gals" and "the Good Guys!"
