Gasoline may be in short supply from time to time. Affordable justice has been in short supply for far too many years. And that may be the affordability crisis that deserves the Governor's attention next.

The larger question is whether the Indiana Supreme Court is addressing the affordability issues that fall within its own responsibility. For years, Hoosiers have complained about rising litigation costs, lengthy delays in civil cases, expensive appeals, and the practical reality that many working families simply cannot afford to enforce their legal rights. Rural counties continue to struggle with attorney shortages, leaving citizens with few options when they need legal repre
