Woman Fatally Stabbed on Near East Side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — A tragic incident unfolded Monday morning on the near east side of Indianapolis, leaving a woman dead following a stabbing. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has confirmed the fatality.

According to a news release from the IMPD, officers from the east district were dispatched to the 400 block of North Randolph Street around 9:14 a.m. Monday after receiving a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from stab wounds. Despite efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
